Going to 6 flags... advice?

I'm going to 6 Flags Great America with my class tomorrow. The weather's suppossed to be sunny and I have extremley fair skin that burns like anything. This is my first issue as I'll need to re-apply sunscreen a lot. I'll also need to carry around some money, kleenex (i have a stuffy nose- perfect, right? lol) and a cell phone. Normally, I'd just take a purse, but I don't want to put it in those cubbys when I go on rides. Is there a solution to this problem? If I don't take the sunscreen (it's a stick that's really little) I can fit the phone and money in my pocket. Any ideas or other suggestions to make my day the best it can be? Info on how to avoid ride lines would be great too. We're staying from 10 am to 6 pm and I'll be eating everything but lunch on the bus. Thanks!

Hmm... maybe get a fanny pack. haha. well you could wear cargo pants with lots of big pockets.
Reply:When I go to amusement parks I always bring a fanny pack. They may not look the coolest, but they work great for carrying stuff! That though thing about it is actually finding one. I know a lot of leather shops still sale them, but you would really have to search to find one. You could also try the 2nd hand stores. Good luck! And don't get too much sun!
Reply:I just went to Six Flags at St. Louis last Mon. Actually, the lines weren't long at all. Perhaps, this was because it was a Monday. Go to the rides that you REALLY want to ride first though. As soon as it opens, the lines won't be as long.





I think if you want to carry around belongings without a purse you will have to get a fanny pack. Yes, I know they look rediculous, but they really are practical. If you don't own one, you could probably purchase one at a gift shop there.





If that is not an option, don't take a purse, but maybe you could go to the first aid station for more sunscreen. Take plenty of cash though......food/drinks are expensive.

Reply:Ive been in six flags few weeks ago, and in the one Ive been you could rent a safe. but the easiest thing is just to put in those cubs:p i mean, the rides only take in about a few minutes... hmm else u could just give it to a friend that don't want to go in the ride... and.. erm... well I'd just put my stuff (cell phone,i-pod,money,food) in a bag, and if we went in a ride where a gf didn't want to go in we left our stuff with her. also, we were with our class to, so sometimes we just left our teacher with all our stuff:p

Reply:i don't know about holding stuff but i use a towel over my head to keep me in shade all the time
Reply:you could keep the money in your sock. I see people do that all the time. or you could use a wallet.
