Should White People start being referred to as Pink People?

First of all, I am white. I am living in Japan. I went to get a phone today, and I wanted a really cheap phone. They were out of blue and green so I got a pink one. I am a 30 year old man, so it is a bit funny. I am kind of a silly person, so it doesn't bother me having a pink phone. My friend made fun of me, but I don't get embarrassed so it's OK. The color of my cell phone does not really have an affect on my sexuality, eg. I am straight man.





Anyhow, I was at my friend's house. She was laughing that I bought a pink phone then noticed that it matched my skin almost exactly! She has a white cat ( a very paper white cat ) and I realized that I look more like my phone than her cat. Maybe it is funny being called pink people, but aren't white people more pink than white? Ever seen us after a few beers? We are really pink!





Maybe we should start being called pink people? Isn't that more accurate? Your thoughts?

If that's what you want to be called, sure, why not? Just let us know and we'll switch it up. I'm not really black though either so I don't know what can be done about that.

Well if you want to be called pink instead of White then I can be called Brown instead of Black.


I've never seen a Black person with Black skin it's always been some shade of brown. I've seen White people with very fair skin but I wouldn't exactly call it white either...funny isn't it?

Reply:While your pondering this heavy weight question,ask your self why Japan has a multi million industry in bleaching their skin white and making their eyes round?

plus "white people" come in a variety of shades i certanly am not pink (except for a few spots on my face that have acne)
Reply:Whatever floats your boat. I personally am not offended by mere words.
Reply:When it comes right down to it, people come in so many different shades that if we went around categorizing people by what color they actually are we'd have about a million categories. I'm more of an olive toned "white" person. If we all tried this, perhaps we'd realize how strange the whole race issue really is.
