Why I lied about my friend...?

For those who answered my question and are asking why I lied about my friend. After a month of dating my now boyfriend he told he is good friends with his ex, whom he had lived with for 2yrs. I am not one who agrees with haveing your ex lovers as good friends. It really got under my skin every time he spoke to her on the phone and plus now she is a stripper so deslike it even more. I knew he would never give up his friendship, nor would I ask him to. In order to make my self feel better I decided to call an old friend and maintain a daily friendship with him in secret, which really backfired on me. I love my boyfriend and have done everything I can to prove it was just a friendship. I gave up my friend in a heartbeat and lets not forget I took that damn lie detector test.

Where can you take a lie detector test at? the only place here is at the police station and its not like they're just going to let anyone use it. I'd love to get my man on one! I dont blame you for not being uncomfortable about his friendship with his ex. In my opinion if you still talk to your ex, especialy every day, there is still feelings going on there. Keep your eyes and ears open, but I probaly would of done the same about calling your ex. But when you did he probaly thought you wanted him back right, even though 2 wrongs dont make a right dont mean it wont make you feel better is the way I'd look at it. But yeah it always seems to backfire on us for some reason. but keep your eyes open girl I have a feeling theres more than what you know. good luck

Reply:Its not about what is fair at the moment, it is still about trust. He told you about his relationship with his ex, but you kept your relationship secret. There is a huge difference. As for his relationship with his ex, if he really loves you then he would give that up. There is no reason for him and her to be friends, especially if it affects you. Choosing you over her should be and easy choice for him if he loves you.
