Whats a good way to teach a purveyor a lesson on how to treat their client.?

I am a partner in a group of 6 restaurants and our liquor purveyor has no idea how she should treat her clients. We are 1 of her biggest account. We were going to have a wine dinner but I canceled it due to no reservations. She had the nerve to call me up and tell me how unprofessional it was to cancel the event. I politely told her my interests were in the restaurant not her making a good impression on some wine maker and offered her the space in the restaurant to hold the wine tasting just without the dinner. She hung up the phone on me. It really got under my skin. The owners love her so its no use complainig to them and the competition here isnt as good as far as prices and service. I would love to buy from another purveyor but its not realistic. I need a good idea to make her life miserable without acting totally rude to her? I would like to teach her a lesson on how she should treat a good client or if someone could offer advice what to tell her next time I see her? Thanks

One of my biggest pet peeves is poor customer service. There's also no excuse for bad manners, period. I personally wouldn't be set on making her "life miserable" as I'm not into revenge so I would just tell her straight up, in plain language that I found her to be rude and that as a customer (not tomention a fellow human being) you deserved to be treated with respect and politeness. I've learned in life that a lot of people will bully you and be unspeakably rude until you stand up to them and they realize you won't take it. Good luck!
Reply:What she did was rude and uncalled for. However, two wrongs don't make a right. If you were to seek revenge, you'd be sinking to her level. You say she was so very unprofessional. It wouldn't be exactly professional to attempt to make her life miserable, whether you feel its justified or not.

Best just to let it go. People can be total idiots sometimes. Unfortunatley, thats part of the world. When others dish out abuse, don't let it lower your own standards and consideration.
Reply:Canceling your event may not have been unprofessional, but purposely making her life miserable certainly is. Grow up.
