Does Marijuana Show Up In A Skin Test!?!?!?!?!?
I don't know are you gonna bring some???

-TB is just a small scraping of the skin tissue for a culture, or a small blood sample.

-It will not show that, especially becuase that's not what they're looking for.

-You should be fine.
Reply:Relax...

The test is a "TB skin test". Essentially, the hospital wants to make sure that you haven't previously been exposed to tuberculosis. People who have been exposed in the past are more likely to have active TB in the future, cough on patients, and give them tuberculosis. Also, in the hospital, you may run into TB patients and it's helpful to figure out if you have been exposed before.

No, there is no way to test for marijuana usage through this skin test. And volunteers usually are not asked to give a urine test prior to working in a hospital.

However... If you are going to be a physician, lay off the pot. As physicians, we are required to report other physicians who are "impaired providers". Who wants their physician to be high?

Anyway, that's the story.
