I hate my roommate and can't switch rooms?

so, it's my first year of college and I'm having some roommate trouble. She seems well-meaning, but she's SO condescending and self-righteous. She didn't drink before college %26amp; ever since she found out that I have a past of mild drug use she acts like she's better %26amp; more responsible then me. She calls me "hon" which I for one find to be very condescending %26amp; she uses these annoying nicknames that I hate. She talks on the phone really loud with her mom or sister when I'm in the room. She makes really tactless comments, like the other day she was like "Oh my god, hon, you can she your veins right under your skin on your feet". in front of everyone. She also thinks she acts as some kind of maternal figure to me, she actually said "Oh my god, I'm so like a mom for you" She even started washing my pillowcase. it seems nice, sure, but I NEVER asked her to do that. I can do my own freakin' laundry. UGH! What should I do?

apparently u're not a social person either...none of what your roommate had said is really irritating ..i know i wouldn't care!!! maybe she's trying to look out for you..maybe u do need someone like that around you..if not then just talk to her and to tell her that u learned from your past mistakes and now u're responsible enough to take good care of yourself... simple as that!!!!
Reply:Get another room mate....this one would drive me to drink, drugs, murder, arson,treason,marriage,kidnap,gun-runnin... Put a contract out on her.
Reply:Tell her.Tell her to leave your **** alone and to quit calling you hon. Tell her you have a mom and don't need another. When she's talking loud on the phone turn up the radio or t.v., of course you have to Tell her/ Ask her to quiet down on the phone. I would ignore the comment about your feet.. who really cares? I'm sure the people she said it in front of paid little to no attention to your feet.
Reply:hey! i think you should be patient wit her, with time things will get better. i also experience things lyk this in my dormitory in college. just try to blend wit her. its ur first year, so u may find it hard to deal with. give it time
Reply:Explain your issues that you have, with her, not us!!
